Terms of Service

Last updated September 30, 2026

1. Bookings, payment and prices

Simple Pixel, LLC (“Simple Pixel”, “we”) runs the venue at 299 Bassett Street, Suite 250, San Jose, CA 95110. These Terms apply when you book on playsimplepixel.com and when you play at the venue. By paying for a booking, you agree to them for yourself and on behalf of your group.

  • Prices are per player, per session, and are shown before you pay. Soft-opening prices apply to sessions on or before October 31, 2026.
  • Payment is due in full when you book. Square processes card payments; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Holds: when you pick a time, we hold those spots for 10 minutes while you pay. If the hold runs out, the spots are released.
  • Group size: online bookings are for up to 12 players. Larger groups book through the Groups & Parties form.
  • Your group: the person who books is responsible for passing these Terms and the booking details on to everyone in the group.

2. Cancellations, changes and arrival

  • More than 24 hours before your session starts: cancel for a full refund, or reschedule for free. Reply to your confirmation email, or email hello@playsimplepixel.com with your booking code.
  • Within 24 hours of the start: the booking is non-refundable. You can send someone else in a player’s place.
  • No-shows are not refunded.
  • Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Banks usually take 5–10 business days to show them.
  • Adding players on the day depends on space in your time slot; the front desk takes payment for them.
  • Arrival: please arrive about 10 minutes early to check in. Your session starts and ends at the booked time. Arriving late does not extend the session and is not refunded.

3. Players, ages, the waiver and conduct

  • Waiver: every player needs a current signed Participant Waiver before playing. Adults sign for themselves; a parent or legal guardian signs for anyone under 18. It can be signed online before the visit or at the front desk. A player without a signed waiver can’t play, and that is not grounds for a refund.
  • Ages: players must be 8 or older. Players under 12 must have an adult (18 or over) in their group who is also playing and supervises them. Children who aren’t playing can’t be in a game room while a round is running.
  • House rules: everyone follows the house rules in Section 4 of the waiver and staff instructions, including closed-toe shoes in the game rooms.
  • Removal: we may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who breaks the rules, appears intoxicated, or puts others at risk, without a refund.
  • Damage: you are responsible for damage caused by deliberate misuse or reckless conduct, by you or by a minor you are responsible for.

4. If we cancel, and our liability

  • If we cancel or cut short your session (a closure, a power or equipment failure, an emergency), we’ll offer you a new time or a full refund of that session, your choice.
  • Rooms closed for maintenance: if one or two rooms are down, your session continues in the others. This is not grounds for a refund.
  • Injury and risks of play are covered by the Participant Waiver, which each player signs separately.
  • Everything else about your booking: to the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else California law does not allow to be limited.
  • Personal belongings: we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. Items left behind are kept at the front desk for 30 days.

5. General

  • Photos and your data: we take photos and video at the venue. Section 10 of the waiver explains how we use them and how to withdraw consent. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
  • Governing law: these Terms are governed by California law. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts for Santa Clara County, California.
  • Changes: we may update these Terms. The version in effect when you book applies to that booking. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
  • Severability: if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
